Sachi re-signs for next season

Bacup Cricket Club are delighted to announce the re-signing of their professional Sachithra Serasinghe for a second season. The Sri Lankan is currently the top run scorer in all competitions with 949 runs including three centuries and four half centuries and he has also taken 46 wickets.

His performances have been instrumental in leading Bacup to T20 Finals Day and he has quickly established himself as a very popular and well liked person around the club.

Club chairman Neal Wilkinson said " We had no hesitation in offering improved terms to Sachithra. His classy batting has been a joy to watch for our supporters. In addition his off spin bowling has more than matched our expectations. The players love him and hope to support him better with their performances in the remainder of the season and the season to come."
