Church away played 21/7

After winning the toss Church were asked to bat first and they got off to a fast start despite a late wicket from Lexy the first pair finished on 214. After then the next 8 overs were dominated by Bacup with excellent batting and fielding. Further wickets from Belle and George H and tight bowling from Isaac and Etty. A late flourish from the last pair saw them amass 230 with George P and Belle picking up 3 more wickets. We only balled 8 wides and at half way confident of victory. A good start saw us reach 217 after the first pair with George P hitting 12 runs. The next 8 overs saw us accumulate only 5 runs as we lost 3 more wickets. A very eventful last 4 overs with 9 required and then 3 off the last 2. Some very good Church bowling at the death meant we finished just short. Another great game against Church and whilst we edged it at Bacup they deserved their victory.

Man of the Match was Belle with some outstanding bowling band a great catch.
