New Pro for Bacup CC

Bacup Cricket Club is delighted to announce the signing of 31 year old Sri Lankan all rounder Sachithra Serasinghe for the 2019 season. Sachithra, a right handed aggressive batsman and right arm off spinner has 13 years of first class cricket experience in his own country and currently plays for Dambulla.

In first class matches he has scored 7281 runs at a very healthy average of 44.12 with 19 centuries to his name & a highest score of 209. In addition he has taken 239 wickets at 28.78. He has represented his country in Under 19 Test Cricket and has played for Sri Lanka A.

Sachithra is also an experienced league professional having played for Normanby Hall in the North Yorkshire and South Durham Premier League, Littleborough in the Pennine League and Bradshaw in the Bolton League. He has also made a couple of appearances in the Lancashire League as a sub professional and in 2017 scored 171not out for Accrington against Colne.
