Bacup Seek Junior Head Club Coach

Bacup Cricket Club have a long and proud history in the Lancashire League.The club has a committed set of core volunteers on both cricket and social aspects, with a healthy number of both senior and junior players. It has identified that a key area which requires improvement is in respect of coaching and training.Therefore, the club is looking to appoint a paid Junior Head Club Coach for the 2025 season.

Key Responsibilities


Plan, organise and lead junior pre-season and in-season training.Establish successful relationships with all coaches, players and parents.Set individual training plans for key players, setting up academy sessionsWork in consultation with junior coordinator and other coaches. Feedback to the Club’s Cricket Committees on a regular basis.


Hours and remuneration


The club is flexible on hours and suggested inputs, so long as they are sufficient to deliver the outcomes required. As a guide, the Club would expect attendance at training sessions for two to three evenings a week during the pre-season and summer, with the attendance at some matches in addition.Hours and remuneration will be discussed individually with applicants.


Skills 


The successful applicant will demonstrate: 

  • strong organisational skills, session planning, verbal & written communication and relationship building skills

  • previous coaching experience, ideally to minimum level 3 coaching accreditation  (though Level 2 coaching accreditation will be considered)

  • a commitment, vision and ability to help deliver the club’s goals and ambitions.
