CHIRAG KHURANA

Bacup Cricket Club is delighted to announce the signing of Indian all rounder Chirag Khurana for the 2023 season. 

 

He needs no introduction to the Bacup faithful who have seen him in action as substitute professional for the majority of Sunday matches this year and have witnessed his positive effect on the team. 

 

A right handed batsman and off spin bowler, he scored 371 runs in 11 innings at an average of 46.37 and took 38 wickets at 10.57. 

 

As a batsman who is prepared to bat time and a quality spin bowler he is just what the Bacup cricket committee were looking for. To have a professional directing proceedings at both junior and senior practice will be a massive fillip to the club. 

 

Chiggy has several years of experience at Royton where he has been a huge success in The Greater Manchester League. He fancies a new challenge and we are pleased he has elected to join us. 

 

We look forward to his arrival next season at Lanehead  where he is already popular both on and off the field.
