David has played for Bacup at every level. Mainly an in-swing bowler, he has recently started to develop variations in the David Ormerod manner and this could herald an early return to 1st X1 cricket. He has always got wickets cheaply in 2nd X1 cricket and in 2002, his partnership with Stephen Crowe was the key to his team's success in the Junior League. (AO, 2003)
